Earlier this year my wife and I couldn’t choose on where to go for our 25th anniversary holiday. We both fancied the Med but weren’t too sure where. After a lot of deliberation, taking in a few countries on a massive tour seemed like a good plan. So we visited our local travel agent and enquired about Paxos holidays . This place seemed like as good a place as any to start.

We also asked about Crete holidays for my wife was fascinated by this island and now we had a chance to go there. After talking about it for a while, we both decided we would like to do something different this holiday. We decided we wanted to do self catering this time so we looked at a few websites about Turkey villa holidays because we were also going to take in Turkey this holiday.

The focus was on spoiling ourselves this holiday so we made sure all our accommodation was top of the range. The places we booked were all outstanding. Every villa we stayed in had its own pool and this pleased my wife very much as she is a former professional swimmer. Each villa we had booked had impeccable gardens and stunning scenery.

We spent a lot of our time sightseeing and enjoying each others company. Some of the stunning scenery, I captured on my camera and was able to show our family and friends when we got back home. Much of our sightseeing was by foot and we both managed to lose some much needed weight while we were away on holiday even though there were many amazing restaurants which we visited each day.

On reflection, our wedding anniversary tour of the Med was the best holiday my wife and I had taken together. Returning to England after such an amazing holiday was a very difficult experience!
